Raja Chor Mantri Sipahi Rules

Raja Chor Mantri Sipahi (also known as “King Thief Minister Soldier”) is a popular Indian traditional game played by children. It’s a variation of the classic “Rock Paper Scissors” game but with four roles instead of three. The game involves hand gestures and a hierarchical structure, where each role can defeat certain roles and be defeated by others.

Here are the basic rules for the game:

  • Players: The game is played by two or more participants.
  • Roles: There are four roles in the game, and each role can beat one role while being beaten by another. The roles are as

follows:

    • Raja (King): The king defeats the Mantri and the Sipahi but is defeated by the Chor.
    • Chor (Thief): The thief defeats the Raja but is defeated by the Mantri and the Sipahi.
    • Mantri (Minister): The minister defeats the Chor but is defeated by the Raja and the Sipahi.
    • Sipahi (Soldier): The soldier defeats the Chor and is defeated by the Raja and the Mantri.
  • Gestures: Each role is represented by a specific hand gesture:
    • Raja: Hold out your hand with your palm facing down.
    • Chor: Make a fist with your hand.
    • Mantri: Hold out your hand with your palm facing up.
    • Sipahi: Extend your index and middle fingers like a peace sign.
  • Gameplay:
    • Players decide on a signal to start the game, like counting to three or a specific word or phrase.
    • On the signal, each player quickly forms one of the four hand gestures representing a role.
    • The hierarchy of the roles determines the winner. The winning combinations are as follows:
      • Raja defeats Mantri and Sipahi, but is defeated by Chor.
      • Chor defeats Raja, but is defeated by Mantri and Sipahi.
      • Mantri defeats Chor, but is defeated by Raja and Sipahi.
      • Sipahi defeats Chor, but is defeated by Raja and Mantri.
  • Winning: The player whose role wins the round gets a point. The game can be played for a predetermined number of rounds, and the player with the most points at the end is declared the winner.

It’s a fun and simple game that requires quick thinking and observation skills. Enjoy playing “Raja Chor Mantri Sipahi” with your friends and family!
